Senior Pega Developer

We are looking for an experienced Pega Developer who is passionate about designing and building complex Pega applications for our federal government clients. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative spirit to drive innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an expert in developing and modifying Pega solutions, including coding, testing, and debugging.
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex Pega applications in alignment with platform best practices.
  • Create and maintain technical rules like Data Pages, Activities, Data Transforms, Flows, Case Types, and Decision Rules—following branching strategies.
  • Utilize Pega’s features for coding and unit testing based on designs from Senior Developers and Product Owners.
  • Apply expertise in UX/UI design with Portals, Skins, Flow Actions, Sections, and other UI components.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide effective production support.
  • Implement DevSecOps practices, Scaled Agile Methodology, and work within an AWS cloud environment.
  • Collaborate closely with Agile teams to implement Pega-based case management systems, including integrations and backend services.
  • Ensure reliability and availability of Pega’s BRE and BPM Platform while supporting capacity planning with cross-functional teams.
  • Validate code compliance with Pega Guardrails and oversee debugging, testing, and defect mitigation.
  • Lead and mentor development teams, fostering skill growth and adherence to best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Advanced knowledge of Pega development best practices, design patterns, and software engineering principles.
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing Pega applications, including deployments on AWS cloud.
  • Strong understanding of BPM (Business Process Management) and BRE (Business Rules Engine) concepts.
  • Skilled in creating process-oriented web applications and reusable components.
  • Familiar with web services like SOAP, RESTful APIs, XML, and JSON.
  • In-depth knowledge of PRPC flows, decisions, rules, and IT standards.
  • Proven ability to lead development teams and mentor junior developers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CMS Marketplace eligibility and appeal processing.
  • Familiarity with CMS standards and processes.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be eligible for and maintain Public Trust clearance.
  • Must have resided in the United States for at least 3 out of the last 5 years.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Pega development.
